Why I love Sunsets…

“Dusk is just an illusion because the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are; there cannot be one without the other yet they cannot exist at the same time. How would it feel I remember wondering to be always together yet forever apart?” ― Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

Sunset, and Sunrise, are oftentimes considered to be sacred times during the day when it is believed that the veil between worlds is the thinnest.

During this time, anything is possible. With the Alchemy of Elements conspiring to release what is no longer needed and create space for what needs to exist next, one can experience moments of deep transformation.

Since I was young, I have always been fascinated by Sunsets. It was like a live painting was being created in front of my eyes. As the show of intense hues from blue to yellow to pick to purple to navy blue and finally black unfolded in front of my eyes, I stood each time in awe as the magic unfolded.

To date, I remain mesmerized as I watch the sun kiss the moon goodnight as silver stars appear in the sky. During this time, I cast off the masks that I have worn throughout the day, and surrender all vulnerability to the universe. I lay my sorrows my tears and doubts and anger down to rest, and offer my love, gratitude, and joy to the universe hoping for a better tomorrow filled with new adventures.

Do you want to experience healing of the heart? Then have the courage to stand under the sky with a setting sun and allow whatever emotions you have experienced during the day to show up again. Sit with them and let the earth, wind and sun perform their magic. Let the setting sun warm your heart up with its last rays and let the moon nurture you in readiness for a new day.

Life is about embracing changes and overcoming fears to grow our best self. The “in between space”, this space between before, after and dimensions is where we can create ourselves.
